Paradigm's rights cover all fields of use for the patented system (except for certain criminal justice applications). As described in a February 21, 2001 press release, the company is seeking to enforce all of its intellectual property rights relating to the patent. Paradigm has retained a high-profile attorney, David Boies of Boies, Schiller, & Flexner LLP, to vigorously enforce the company's rights under the patent. If the companies infringing on its patent rights have to pay a licensing fee to Paradigm, this legal action could result in a huge influx of longterm revenues for the company.

RECENT NEWS

February 26 - Paradigm Announces the Development of a Next Generation Personal Location Device - PLD - Utilizing SiRF's GPS Chipsets

Eduardo Guendelman, President & CEO of Paradigm Advanced Technologies, Inc., confirmed today that the company was working on a next generation of Personal Location Devices (PLDs) expected to be launched in Q2/02, which integrates GPS chipsets from SiRF Technology, Inc.

``For some time emergency response workers have recognized the need for improved technology to identify the physical location of people in emergencies. While some such devices currently exist, they tend to be heavy and cumbersome. The new generation of PLDs that we are developing based on SiRF's GPS technology features a much higher degree of miniaturization while offering enhanced performance and reliability,'' Guendelman said.

``With an aging population the growing incidents of Alzheimer's and related disassociative diseases increase the demand for easily worn or easily carried devices. As well, many parents want to know where their young children are in a day and age of increased mobility and urbanization. Correctional services departments at the federal, state, provincial and municipal levels are seeking enhanced methods to monitor certain parolees and those whose sentences do not require incarceration. There are emergency management and emergency medical services as well as military applications for such PLDs, also,'' noted Yoram Shalmon, Paradigm's Project Manager for the World Trade Center disaster recovery project.

Kanwar Chadha, founder and vice president of marketing for SiRF Technology, said ``We are delighted to be working with a company as innovative and creative as Paradigm Advanced Technologies on this and other advanced wireless location mobile products. It is a special honour to know that Paradigm's products using our technology are helping efforts in the World Trade Center disaster recovery project.''

February 19 - Paradigm's Destinator -TM- Offered as a High-End Navigation Accessory by Automotive Dealers

Eduardo Guendelman, President and C.E.O. of Paradigm Advanced Technologies, Inc., today announced that PowerLOC Technologies Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Paradigm, has expanded its Destinator(TM) sales channels to include automotive dealers.

GPS & MORE LTD. (www.gpsmore.com), the Israeli Destinator(TM) distributor, has recently signed an agreement with Meir Ltd., the exclusive importer and dealer of Volvo Jaguar and Honda in Israel. Under the terms of the agreement, the Destinator(TM) navigation system will be installed by the dealer in high-end Volvo cars in Israel and will also be offered as a standard accessory in a subsidized price for all of the other Volvo models. The Destinator(TM) navigation system will be professionally installed in the vehicle by the Volvo dealer and hosted in a specially designed cradle.

``The uniqueness of the Destinator(TM) technology is its ability to stretch the relatively limited capabilities of PDAs and smart phones to offer a cheap and mobile navigation solution with the same degree of excellence as the luxurious high-end navigation system,'' said Ron Yekutiel, General Manager of the Destinator Division in Paradigm. ``Recent deals with automotive dealers reconfirm that Destinator(TM) went a step further from being successful in the PDA arena to standing up to the highest industry standards set by the luxurious in-vehicle navigation systems.''

``We are delighted with the extensive marketing efforts done by our distributors and partners,'' said Eduardo Guendelman. ``The deal that GPS & More struck serves us as a template for creating other relationships with other automotive partners worldwide.''

Raz Heyman, General Manager of GPS & More, stated, ``Since the recent launch of Destinator(TM) in our market we have been subject to endless telephone calls from potential dealers and eager customers. Destinator(TM) was featured in all the major newspapers and television channels. The response was simply overwhelming.''

Mr. Heyman also added, ``In addition to selling Destinator(TM) to corporate accounts and via retail chains we are now negotiating deals with several car dealerships, all of which were impressed by the performance of Destinator(TM) and show great interest in offering it as a standard accessory with their cars.''

February 11 - Paradigm's President Accompanies Canadian Prime Minister to Russia and Germany

Eduardo Guendelman, President and C.E.O. of Paradigm Advanced Technologies, Inc., confirmed today that he will be joining Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien and other North American business leaders on a special ``by invitation only'' trade trip to Russia and Germany.

Paradigm has recently commenced operations in several European countries where distributors, OEM and licensing agreements are in place.

``This is truly a great honour to have the chance for Paradigm to participate in such a prestigious trade mission that will expose us to additional opportunities for our location based products,'' Guendelman said. ``Last year in August our company was honoured to have our Destinator(TM) portable PDA-based navigation product chosen 'Best of Breed' by readers of Pocket PC Magazine and chosen as ''Best Product`` in the GPS and car category in the 2002 Europe Pocket PC Awards. In November the company was even more honoured to be selected by the City of New York to provide tracking and fleet management technology to help ensure the security and efficiency for the difficult and sensitive Disaster Recovery Project at the World Trade Center.''

``In this trip we anticipate meeting with several potential Russian clients including a major banking institution who can use our tracking technology,'' Guendelman said. ``In Germany, we anticipate furthering discussions with major German automotive companies regarding the acquisition of our Destinator(TM) software as an OEM feature in their cars.''

Business delegates will accompany the Prime Minister, Premiers, Territorial Government Leaders and federal ministers as they travel to Moscow, Berlin and Munich from February 12 to the 22. Agreements and exchanges will be signed between visiting organizations and host country businesses at the many networking receptions scheduled.

In 2000, the Russian telecommunications market was valued at $7.8 billion and grew 60% faster than the country's economy. Important growth areas include mobile phones and the expansion of the telecommunications infrastructure.

Germany has the largest information and communications technology market in Europe and the third largest globally. The total German market volume was C$183 billion in 2001- fully one fifth of the total European market and accounting for 6% of the global market.

December 20 - Paradigm Prominently Featured in CIBC World Markets' Research Report and NY Post Article

Paradigm Advanced Technologies, Inc., confirmed today that it was prominently featured in the November Equity Research Report written by CIBC World Markets and in a New York Post article dated December 16, 2001, written by Emily Lambert entitled ``Pinpointing Good Navigation Plays.''

The CIBC World Report for the third quarter of 2001 was an update on a variety of companies involved in the Wireless Equipment sector including Paradigm. Although the authors of the report, Barry Richards and Spencer Churchill, indicate that the year to date (2001) has been one of the worst for the wireless industry as a whole, they feel that there are a number of sectors within that industry that are poised for near-term recovery. They identify the Location-Based sub-sector as a sector that is ``beginning to show signs of promise, as older asset tracking markets and the telematics industry are beginning to grow.'' In the report, CIBC World Markets indicated that Paradigm was one of the top performing companies. A copy of the report can be accessed from Paradigm's website at www.powerloc.com.

In even more recent news, the New York Post released a business report confirming that global positioning systems, which can pinpoint any place on earth using satellite signals, appear to be well-positioned in the market these days. A number of analysts concluded that the location based sector and companies, like Paradigm, are an ``undiscovered area of the market''. Paradigm was named as one of the companies to watch within the sector and its recent contract with New York City featured. A copy of the article can also be found on the Paradigm website.
